Optimal Image Sizes for Instagram in 2026
Instagram is highly visual, and uploading images at the wrong resolution can lead to pixelation or awkward automatic cropping. To ensure maximum quality, you should upload images at exactly the dimensions Instagram uses to display them. The standard Square Post is 1080×1080 pixels (1:1 ratio).
